MT. EVANS FIELD TRIP – JUNE 15, 2016 – MEET AT BUCHANAN REC CENTER AT 6AM
We’ll spend the morning looking for mountain goats and their babies and bighorn sheep and lambs on Mount Evans. We will finish up on the mountain around 10 am, we’ll head back to the Echo Lake Lodge for breakfast or lunch. IMPORTANT NOTE: Limited attendance, dependent on the number of drivers we have. Attendance on field trips is limited to currently paid Evergreen Camera Club members. Participation or membership in Meetup is not the same as paid club membership. Meet at the Buchanan Recreation Center parking lot in north Evergreen. We’ll leave at 6 am from the parking lot, and

then carpool up Hwy 103 to the top of Mount Evans at over 14,000 feet. There is an entry fee per car (free with a federal parks pass). Bring warm layers (jacket, hat, gloves, long pants), sturdy shoes, sunscreen, and of course, camera gear (mid-to-long range tele zoom for animals, wide angle for landscapes, and a tripod). If the weather is bad, we’ll reschedule for another day the same week.
