PSA – Photographic Society of America

by ecc

Evergreen Camera Club is a member of the Photographic Society of America and participates in their interclub competitions. Visit the PSA website at https://psa-photo.org/ and the Colorado State Membership Home Page at https://psa-photo.org/index.php?colorado.

PSA has several divisions for photo competitions: Nature, Travel, Photojournalism, 3D and more. We as a club are entered in the Nature Division and we are considered a SMALL CLUB as we have 50 or less members. Last year we competed against 20 clubs and came in the middle of the pack at the end of the season.

Our club will be participating in the Nature division competition for the 2025/26 year. The Nature Division is subject restricted to portraying the many aspects of nature – plant and animal life, natural features of land and seas or natural phenomena. As a reminder, the recommended Image size is 1920 pixels wide x 1080 pixels tall, for full details, download the pdf below.

The Interclub Competitions are held three (3) times each year with closing dates in November, February, and April – we are now accepting entries until February 10th for this round. Each club may enter 6 images by different makers in each round.

PSA PHOTO GATHERING 2026

by Tom Goldberg

The Photographic Society of America is pleased to announce the 4th PSA Photo Gathering 2026 in North Vietnam. The 8-day–7-night Photo Gathering will cover many spectacular places such as Hanoi, Ninh Binh, home to the UNESCO-listed Trang An Landscape Complex and a place for the traditional Hoa Lu Festival. We also visit Bai Dinh—one of Southeast Asia’s largest spiritual complexes. In Thai Nguyen, you will explore the cultural world of the Tay people at the Thai Hai Reserve. Heritage comes alive through traditional crafts like rice wine brewing, tea roasting, cake making, and herbal medicine, as well as ceremonial performances such as waterless puppetry, gratitude rituals, and conical hat crafting—all passed down by the people.

This is not just a chance to create award-worthy photographs; it’s a cultural voyage, a community connection, and a profound encounter with Vietnam—a land where light weaves heritage.

The Photographic Society of America (PSA) is a group of photographers and advocates for the promotion of the art of photography. The Group holds an annual conference (now Photo Festival) in a different city each year.
This year the festival will be held in in Portlan, Oregon!

The event not only provides educational programs, it provides many live shooting workshops in a variety of photographic genre.
While in our host city we will also arrange for regional exploration and guided tours of the very best the region has to offer.
