Rev. John Gaudreau has a unique approach to his art. Photography is for him another aspect of ministry. For years Brother John expressed his love for people in his drawings and watercolors. Yet for the past 15 years, he has celebrated the absolute joy of creation through the medium of photography. As he sees it, all of God’s created grandeur from the innocence of children, the power of nature and the majesty of this earth in all its splendor is subject matter for his cameras.

His work has appeared in magazines, calendars and greeting cards as well as public exhibits and permanent displays. Images have been captured from North America, Europe, Eastern Europe and Africa. On his Compassionate Care page are featured portraits of the dance of intimacy shared between care receivers and their care givers in both hospital and hospice settings.

It is Brother John’s hope that when viewing the work of the Creator, you too will rejoice in that which has been made and give thanks, for indeed, it is a beautiful world!
