Overview: Tripod Photography is an opportunity to photograph some of our unique subject material: The butterflies, flowers, and plants located in our Wings of the Tropics exhibit at the Butterfly Pavilion.
This is a unique time to photograph using a tripod, which is not allowed during public hours. Participants will also have the benefit of the early morning light, at a time when the butterflies are typically not as active (i.e. staying still, and easier to photograph).
You are welcome to use your tripod when we start at 7:45 am, until 9:00 am when we open to the public. At that time, we ask that you switch to hand-held or break your tripod down to a monopod to accommodate our other guests.
Your entrance will be good for the entire day! Please feel free to stay and visit our other exhibits.
