OCTOBER 23, 2013 TIPS & TECHNIQUES MEETING – BERGEN PARK FIRE STATION – 7pm (6:30pm SOCIAL TIME) – BETTER PHOTOS THROUGH COLOR MANAGEMENT
The primary goal of color management is to obtain a good match across color devices. The colors in an image should look the same when displayed on various devices such as a monitor, a projector, or in a print. A color-managed system will help you create better-quality results while saving you time in post-processing, even if you don’t make prints. If you do print or send your files to a lab for printing, it will also reduce frustration and save you money. Best of all, setting up a color-managed system is surprisingly easy.

Ken Richards will describe and demonstrate the steps you can follow to set up a color-managed system including camera calibration, monitor profiling, printer profiling, soft proofing, and printing. The techniques he will demonstrate will work in Photoshop, Lightroom, and Photoshop Elements.

Try it. You’ll like it.
