July 9th 2026 Field Trip: Herman Gulch Wildflower Hike with Penny Mohr

ECC member Penny Mohr has volunteered to lead a hike up Herman Gulch near Loveland pass to photograph the plentiful mountain wildflowers that grow along the trail. This hike is rated moderate to hard and will be about 1.5 miles and 900 vertical feet to reach a meadow destination covered with flowers.

Penny recommends you bring an appropriate lens for flower photography and tripod that allows you to get low with the flowers. As with any hike in the mountains, you will also need water, good hiking shoes, sunscreen, a hat and/or rain gear and snacks.

We will gather at the Evergreen Bergen Park Park-n-Ride at 6:30am, or you can join us at trailhead no later than 7:30am. Please RSVP for this event by sending an email to events@evergreencameraclub.org
