July 8th 2026 General Meeting: Floral Photography from a Pro with Michael Ryno

by Tom Goldberg

Join professional photographer Michael Ryno for an inspiring presentation on Floral Photography, where he will share techniques for creating compelling images of flowers in a variety of settings.

The program will include techniques and ideas for photographing single blooms using shallow depth of field, arranging and capturing small groups of flowers, and finding creative compositions in home gardens and public botanic gardens. Michael will also discuss techniques for photographing roses, managing light and avoiding distracting backgrounds, and using composition to draw attention to the subject. The presentation will conclude with mountain wildflower photography, including strategies for capturing expansive fields of flowers within dramatic mountain landscapes.

Whether you are photographing flowers in your backyard or high in the Colorado Rockies, this program will provide practical tips and creative inspiration to help improve your floral photography.
