The speaker for September 10, 2014 will be Andrew Kelley. His talk is titled “Preparing to Photograph the Fall” and will be about fall photography in Colorado.

Andrew Kelley is an internationally-published outdoor photographer specializing in wildlife and landscapes from Colorado and the Rocky Mountain West. His goal as an artist is to make images that evoke his emotional connection to this place. To make images that say to the viewer “This stopped me in my tracks. Here’s why.” To do that, Kelley strives to capture a detail, a moment, a facet of the subject that the casual view of a scene might miss. In short, to make images that have authorship, instead of mere “guide book” photos that say only “here is X.
