She is also an active member of the Naples Camera Club, The DPI-SIG camera club in Naples and the online group, NaturePhotographers.net. She has exhibited in numerous juried shows at Lonetree Arts Center, 40 West Arts, Main Street Art Gallery (Evergreen), Cultural Arts Council (Estes Park), Louisville Art Association, and at the Rookery Bay Center (Naples, FL), among others.
Kathy is also a “recovering” attorney. She practiced law for over 30 years in Colorado mainly in the areas of environmental, property rights and railroad safety. Although she no longer actively practices law, she has apparently not fully “recovered” from the legal compulsion as a couple of years ago found herself doing research on copyright law for the purpose of protecting her photos. One thing led to another and she developed a presentation, geared to photographers, about the subject of protecting images, both practically and legally.
Her talk makes copyright law understandable to the layman and of use to photographers.
