The theme for photo submissions for critique/competition for March is ” Travel Photos that Tell a Story”. You may submit theme photos in one of the following: Beginner, Intermediate or Experienced divisions.
The new Intermediate category is for those beginners who have been getting consistently high scores and/or have been winning the beginner division on a regular basis, but don’t feel entirely confident stepping up to the experienced division. This category is also for those in the Experienced Division who have felt some frustration with lower scores and want to take some time and “regroup” to work on their skills a bit before stepping back up.
For both the Beginner and Intermediate Divisions, we strongly encourage members to stay in each category for no longer than a year. And if you are consistently receiving high scores and winning the division you’re in, you should consider moving up prior to the end of the year. This is an honor system and exceptions can be made to the guidelines…but the ultimate goal is to have all our members submitting top-quality photos in the Experienced Division.
You may also submit photos to the Open Category, which is theme of your choice and no divisions. Photo submissions must be received by Brad at contest@evergreencamerclub.com no later than 8am, Monday, March 9.
One photo per email. Photos no larger than 5mb. Maximum of three submissions per member in any combination of “theme” or “open” category. Include your name, Division (A = Experienced, I = Intermediate or B = Beginner) and category (Theme or Open) in the subject line of your email.
