Gary’s program is: Introduction to the Shiras Moose

Gary Gray is a professional wildlife and nature photographer who has
been featured in local print & television news media as well as
published in local, national and international print publications, books
and magazines.

Retired from The Wall Street Journal in 2007, he now spends his time
alternating between Red Feather Lakes and Littleton, practicing his
craft in Colorado.

For our October 2014 members meeting, Gary will do a presentation on
photographing Colorado’s Shiras Moose.

FIELD TRIP TO CALLAHAN PAINT MINE – OCTOBER 11, 2014 – NOTE CHANGE IN LOCATION

We will be meeting at the Callahan Paint Mine, outside of the town of Callahan at 8 am on Saturday. Directions:
Head to Colorado Springs, Take the Interquest Parkway exit 153 to Powers Blvd. Turn right on Powers blvd and stay to the right, you will be on a ramp to Woodman. Turn left at Woodman then turn left on Woodman and then take a left onto US Hwy 24-24E Stay on this road until you reach Callahan. The park is one mile south of town. Sorry about the last minute change, we decided that this was a better location as there is more to photograph.

Our speaker for August will be Donna Dannen, a long time member of Evergreen Camera Club
Her program title is: Patience, Observation, Proficiency, Serendipity: Photographing the Wildlife Around You
Donna will talk about learning about the wildlife around us and using that knowledge plus photography proficiency to create interesting images that tell a story.
She will create a calendar of interesting animal behavior around Evergreen, plus some insight to the when’s where’s and how’s of finding wildlife activity for the best photos.
