Presentation will be on better understanding how digital imaging works. Idea is to put into simple terms how the camera collects and stores the information that makes up a picture, how this affects different file formats, and to lay the foundation for understanding how virtually all image editing processes work.

The Public is invited to attend the next “Evergreen Camera Club” Meeting when we will be pleased to have as our Guest Speaker, Foothill’s resident and photographer, John Castor. John’s interesting and extensive background has evolved into a lifestyle where he manages to place himself in areas and situations where taking great photos becomes natural and compelling. His extended travels to Alaska, the Yukon, Canadian Rockies, Glacier Park, as well as Wilderness areas of the Rocky Mtn West, all a Nature Photographer’s dream.

November 13th meeting – Katie VanBuren speaker

The Public is invited to attend the next ECC Meeting – to share in our excitement at having Katie VanBuren, Wedding Photographer, as our Guest Speaker/Presenter. Katie’s passion for photography translates to images that capture very special moments in a relaxed and natural style, allowing those memories to be easily recalled and preserved. A wedding photographer for over 10 yrs., Katie has a unique perspective and creative style best experienced by viewing her images. We are looking forward to hearing Katie share some of her insights and photo tips.

October 23rd – Mentoring Meeting

One of the most asked question of me is: How do I use the histogram on my digital camera (or computer)? My answer has been, I do not know, I have never used it. Well, I have good news. I have identified at least one person that told me, just yesterday, that he uses it all the time and it will improve your photos! Now if there is anyone else out there that has used histograms, please step forward. I would love to have 2 or 3 speakers talking about this subject and their experiences. For those that have asked about histograms, here is your chance to learn more about it.

October 9th Meeting – Andy Long Speaker

The public is invited to attend the next Evergreen Camera Club meeting held at the Evergreen Annex Fire Station on Bergen Parkway. The meeting will be Tuesday, October 9th (7:00 P.M.) and our guest speaker/presenter is Andy Long. Andy is an award-winning photographer / writer who devotes his photography work to the beauty of the world around us. As a leader of workshops since 1994, Andy likes to help people explore new areas and to go home with a memorable experience as well as great images.

September 11th – David Smith guest speaker

The public is invited to attend the next Evergreen Camera Club meeting held at the Evergreen Annex Fire Station on Bergen Parkway. The meeting will be Tuesday, September 11th and our guest speaker/presenter is David Smith of Evergreen. David Smith moved to Colorado in 1991 from the mid-west. Since that time, he has collected large format, high resolution images from throughout the west. “I find my most satisfying images have been from high in Colorado’s mountains. We are fortunate in this state to have so many designated wilderness areas; special places protected from development.

July 10th Meeting

Our speaker at the next Evergreen Camera Club meeting will be the internationally known author and photographer, Boyd Norton, Tuesday, July 10th , 7:00 P.M. Social time is from 6:30-7:00. This year Boyd Norton celebrates 40 years of publishing and saving the wilderness worldwide. He is the author and photographer of 14 books; including the popular “The Art of Outdoor Photography” one of Amazon.com’s best selling photo books. Two more books will be released next year.
