GENE TEWKSBURY will be speaking on travel photography. Gene says:
My presentation’s focus is on the hows/whys of travel photography (Asia specific).
Topics like dealing with cultural issues, finding unique photos, using an editorial method, how to get natural/candid imagery from locals, working with local fixers, avoiding legal trouble, things like that.
Photography instruction would be focused on working with the environment to your advantage and if asked, questions from the audience about how a particular image was captured.

Submit up to three entries (5 MB or less, please submit images with at least 3000 pixels on the long dimension) to beginner@evergreencameraclub.com for the beginners category, intermediate@evergreencameraclub.com for the intermediate category, advanced@evergreencameraclub.com for the advanced category. Photography has always been a part of Rob’s life. He began taking pictures with a Polaroid black and white camera when he was twelve, then quickly moved on to a 35 mm SLR. His first SLR was a Kowa. In high school he became the school’s photographer and was able to use the school’s Pentax cameras. The basics in photography have stuck with him.
