February 11th 2026 General Meeting Maroon Skies — Lunar Eclipses with Jürgen Lobert

by Ellen Nelson

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Evergreen Fire & Rescue Building will be closed for community meetings for the next two years! We are grateful that the Center for the Arts Evergreen has offered us meeting space in their beautiful facility near Natural Grocers at 31880 Rocky Village Dr, Evergreen. However, the February 11thmeeting is Zoom Only.

Everyone get ready! Did you know that there will be a Total Lunar Eclipse in the early morning hours of March 3rd? Jürgen Lobert will tell us what we need to know. This is an instructional presentation about lunar eclipses and how to photograph them by New England based fine art photographer Jürgen Lobert. Lunar eclipses are rare events, but provide one of nature’s most spectacular nighttime shows in the sky.

Photographing an eclipse is a very rewarding challenge, but also a fairly technical experience that requires specific approaches and careful execution to get the most out of the event. The presentation contains lots of inspiring imagery along with detailed explanations of preparation, execution and post processing.

Since Jürgen is based in New England, this is a Zoom Only meeting on Wednesday, February 11th. Meet for 6:30 pm social time, brief announcements at 7:00 pm with Jürgen’s presentation to follow.

New members, students and guests are welcome.

JENNY POWELL
Wild Encounters, Quiet Moments: Understanding Wildlife Behavior for Better Nature Photos

Local photographer Jenny P will explain how to read wildlife body language, plan your shots around natural light, and compose images that convey emotion rather than just documentation.

Join Jenny P and the Evergreen Camera Club at our new meeting location at the Center for the Arts Evergreen, 31880 Rocky Village Dr, Evergreen and on Zoom Wednesday, January 14th for 6:30 pm social time, brief announcements at 7:00 pm with Jenny’s presentation to follow.
