Rob Palmer:
NATURALIST: Rob has been involved with animals since he was very young. He has always had a passion for birds of prey, and has pursued that passion throughout his adult life. In college, he spent numerous hours studying the nesting territories of prairie falcons in Northeastern Colorado, and additional time researching screech owls nesting along the Boulder Creek trail in the center of Boulder, Colorado.

Cynthia has presented programs for us before and we are fortunate to have her return for a T&T session this month. Cynthia’s program on lighting should be helpful to all, from novice to experienced photographers! Cynthia teaches photography at the Art Institute of Colorado in downtown Denver.
She is also the daughter of our members, Doug and Betty Holling.

Bio: Award winning photojournalist Dean Krakel’s work has appeared in National Geographic, Rolling Stone, National Wildlife, Outside, Time, Newsweek and Life magazines. His images of the Marlboro Man, photographed for the Leo Burnett Advertising Agency are famous worldwide.

Krakel is the author of three books, Season of the Elk, Downriver and Krakel’s West.

Ron Ruhoff biography
I was born in Minneapolis, MN where my father and grandfather both were musicians in the Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra. They played viola and piano. I never took to learning to play music, but always loved being around the orchestra and music. I learned the classical repertoire very well.
My family moved to Denver, CO in 1952, where my father continued his symphony playing with the Denver Symphony.
