Tips and Techniques for April will feature experimenting with digital conversions to black and white. We’ll explore various ways of creating black and white images from original color digital images using Photoshop and Photoshop Elements. Program: Architectural Photography and Inexpensive Lighting

Presenter: Willie Gibson

Willie Gibson has been shooting throughout the US, Mexico, South America and Europe for over 30 years. He has established a reputation as a respected and recognized talent in architectural photography, and has created beautiful images for residential homebuilders, architects and designers, resorts and golf courses. Willie’s images have won dozens of awards for major homebuilders across the country. Many of Willie’s resort and lifestyle images have appeared in travel and leisure publications.

We live in a land of wildlife photography wonders. Our Tips and Techniques program is pertinent to anyone who ventures out to encounter wildlife with the idea of adding to our photo collections. We can inadvertently harm some creatures while others can harm us.

Be sure to attend to learn the ethical and responsible ways to be successful and safe with a camera in our wild lands!

FIELD TRIP – WINTER PARK SLED DOG RACES – SUNDAY, JANUARY 24

On Sunday 1/24, we’ll travel to Winter Park to the Sled Dog Races! We’ll meet at Evergreen’s Buchanan Rec Center at 7:45. We’ll figure out carpools when we get there.

We’ll plan on getting to Winter Park a little before 10 a.m. and spend a few hours with the dogs. Then, we’ll plan to head back a little ahead of the ski traffic, probably around 2 p.m.
